On July 5, firefighters from the Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department saved a 6-month-old kitten that had become stuck behind a wall.

After locating the kitten using thermal imaging cameras, the crew cautiously opened a portion of the wall to get to it. The rescue was safely completed when Assistant Chief Scalamogna removed the kitten. Lieutenant Brucker and Medical Officer Marcelewski both helped with the procedure.

After the rescue, the kitten was uninjured, demonstrating the department's capacity to handle a variety of emergency scenarios.
