Pooler, GA - The Pooler Fire-Rescue responded to a small animal rescue after a cat became trapped inside a storm drain system.

Engine crews arrived to find the cat located within drain piping between two manhole openings, creating limited access for a direct rescue. Firefighters assessed the situation and utilized a small diameter forestry hose line to gently encourage the animal to retreat through the pipe toward a more accessible location.

Once repositioned, crews were able to safely secure and remove the cat from the storm drain. The animal was not injured, and the incident was brought to a successful conclusion through careful and patient operations.
