Hartford, VT. — June 30 — After 20 years of service to the department and the Hartford community, Lt. Mitch White was honored upon his retirement by the Hartford Fire Department, located at 812 VA Cutoff Road. On June 30, White finished his last shift, capping a career that comprised leadership, training, and emergency response duties. During his time there, he also assisted with everyday department operations and served as a mentor to firemen.

According to department officials, his dedication and knowledge aided the department's goal of safeguarding citizens and supporting other areas through mutual aid when necessary. After twenty years in the fire service, the department wished White a fulfilling retirement and congratulated him for his hard work.
