Brattleboro, VT. — June 18 — To improve collaboration during air medical crises, UMass Memorial LifeFlight and the Brattleboro Fire Department, located at 103 Elliot Street, held a training session. Firefighters and LifeFlight staff discussed landing zone selection, aircraft capabilities, helicopter transfer protocols, and scene safety. In order to facilitate effective patient transfers during critical crises, the program concentrated on enhancing communication between flying teams and ground staff.
In addition to providing advanced critical care transport throughout New England, UMass Memorial LifeFlight frequently collaborated with emergency services organizations to provide operational training. According to the agency, when air medical services were needed, the collaborative training facilitated safe, coordinated operations and assisted responders in maintaining preparedness.
