During its Recognition Night, the South Burlington Fire Department honored Battalion Chief Christman, Lieutenant White, and Lieutenant Wermer for obtaining the Fire Officer (FO) credential from the Center for Public Safety Excellence.

With this accomplishment, the department now has eight certified fire officers. Within the fire service, the CPSE Fire Officer certificate honors leadership, education, professional growth, and a dedication to lifelong learning.

According to department officials, the achievement is a testament to the officers' commitment to professional excellence and to provide the South Burlington community excellent leadership and service.
