Hampden, MA. — July 1 — After completing six months of training, testing, and certification at the Mass Call Fire Academy, Firefighters Lafountain and Medeiros were acknowledged by the Hampden Fire Department. Classroom teaching, live-fire drills, search and rescue, ladder operations, and emergency response abilities that satisfied Massachusetts firefighter standards were all part of the recruit program.

The department's emergency response squad now has two fully qualified firefighters thanks to their graduation. The Hampden Fire Department, located at 19 North Road, has continued to make investments in professional training to improve fire, rescue, and emergency medical services while offering dependable protection to locals and guests.
