Westminster, VT. — July 4 — Rescue 1 and the department's newest Rescue 2 represented Westminster Fire & Rescue in the Saxtons River Fourth of July Parade, a community festival. Every year, locals, community organizations, and public safety agencies came together to celebrate Independence Day and the country's 250th anniversary. Along the procession route, firefighters greeted locals and showcased the department's equipment.

The occasion offered a chance to improve ties with the public and emphasize the importance of volunteer emergency services. The collaboration between local fire crews and the people they proudly served was still on display at community events like the Saxtons River procession.
