Bridgewater Firefighters Rescue Cat During Apartment Fire

At at 7:46 a.m. on June 24, the Bridgewater Fire Department received a fire alarm activation and promptly put out a fire in a three-story apartment complex at 14 Meadow Lane. arrived and used ground ladders to access the upper levels after seeing that the top floor was emitting a lot of smoke.


Less than 250 gallons of water were used by the crews to put out the fire, and they also looked for building extensions. A pet cat was saved from the building by firefighters, all residents safely left, and no injuries were reported. Mutual aid departments assisted at the scene, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
