Tremont Firefighter Earned Firefighter I and II Certification

Bass Harbor, ME — June 28 — Firefighter Corey Walker received recognition from the Tremont Volunteer Fire Department upon completing six months of academic and practical training at the Hancock County Fire Academy. Walker received Pro Board Firefighter I and II certification after training with 20 other cadets and passing written tests and practical skill assessments. He finished internal training in apparatus driving, pump operations, and commercial vehicle operations prior to enrolling at the academy.


The certification demonstrated Walker's dedication to professional growth and enhanced the department's firefighting capabilities. Officials from the department wished him continued success in the fire service and acknowledged his commitment to serving the community.
