Department Recognized Nation's 250th Independence Day

Mont Vernon, N.H. — July 4 — The Mont Vernon Fire Department joined communities across the country in marking America's 250th birthday and Independence Day. The historic milestone recognized the nation's heritage while highlighting the continued service of firefighters and other first responders. Department members remained ready to respond throughout the holiday, a time that often brings increased emergency calls related to fireworks, outdoor activities and travel.


Officials encouraged residents to celebrate responsibly by following local fireworks laws, practicing safe grilling and outdoor fire habits, and remaining alert during holiday events. The department wished everyone a safe Independence Day while continuing to provide emergency services to the community.
