Mont Vernon, N.H. — June 21 — In honor of Father's Day, the Mont Vernon Fire Department honored fathers who use the fire service to support their families and communities. The department recognized the commitment of firefighter fathers who manage public duty, training, emergency response, and family obligations. Family support is crucial to the firefighting career since firefighters frequently work midnight, weekend, and holiday shifts to protect their communities.


Retired members, volunteers, and families of firefighters who support emergency response were also honored. In addition to wishing all fathers a happy and safe Father's Day, the department acknowledged their ongoing dedication to serving the Mont Vernon community and at home.
