Russell Firefighters Completed Forcible Entry Training

Russell, MA. — June 12 — The Massachusetts Department of Fire Services organized a regional forceful entry training program that included firefighters from the Russell Fire Department, Chester Volunteer Fire Department, Westhampton Fire Department, and Huntington Fire Department. In order to minimize property damage during emergency situations, crews practiced how to enter locked or secured facilities.


The practical exercise focused on safe operating procedures, collaboration, and tool selection for structural fires and rescue operations. Through regional training with state instructors, firefighters in western Massachusetts can strengthen their operational readiness for emergencies, preserve vital skills, and enhance cooperation among nearby departments.
