Joint Training Strengthened Water Rescue Readiness

Wales, Mass. — June 15 — Together with a nearby fire department, the Wales Fire Department held a joint training exercise on water rescue equipment and rescue boat operations. Firefighters went over rescue gear, boat deployment protocols, and operational strategies utilized in lake and other waterway crises. The practical exercise reinforced safe boat operations and efficient rescue procedures while improving agency collaboration.


Frequent water rescue training keeps firemen up to date on critical skills and equips personnel to handle situations involving injured or trapped victims in challenging conditions. In order to ensure safe and effective emergency response, the exercise emphasized the significance of ongoing training and regional cooperation.
