The Bernardston Fire Department honored the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots members who died on June 30, 2013, while battling the Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona.
The department praised the firefighters' sacrifice and recognized their commitment to protecting people and property in difficult situations. Even after more than a decade, the loss of the Granite Mountain Hotshots serves as a continual reminder of the risks faced by wildland firefighters worldwide.
