Members of the Windham Center Fire Department attended a training course on automated sprinkler systems and fire alarms on June 16.

Deputy Chief Mark Herrick led a discussion on fire alarm systems, stressing the significance of early detection and tenant communication during crises, according to officials. Before fire crews arrive, firefighters also went over how sprinkler systems work and how they help contain fires and minimize property damage. Members' comprehension of two of the most crucial fire safety systems encountered during emergency responses was strengthened by the training.
