FDNY EMS Welcomed Young Visitors to Station 57

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On June 15, kids from Glorious and Gifted Early Childhood Center were greeted by members of FDNY EMS Station 57 for an instructional tour centered around emergency medical services. The kids investigated an ambulance, took a tour of the station, and discovered how FDNY EMS handles crises throughout New York City.

Crews introduced students to emergency equipment utilized in daily operations and described the roles of paramedics and EMTs. The FDNY's official life safety mascot, Siren, met with the group during the tour and gave them safety advice.
