Hands-On Extrication Training Strengthens Emergency Readiness

Despite the rain, Champlain Fire District personnel practiced vehicle extrication on June 20th, strengthening the skills required for complicated rescue situations.


According to officials, in order to stay up to date with changing vehicle structure, firemen trained a range of extrication techniques while working with several vehicle types and models. Members were able to learn new techniques for securely extracting trapped individuals during car wrecks and improve rescue operations through the practical simulation.
