Auburn Firefighter Jeffrey Salvage Retires After 22 Years of Service

After more than 22 years of service to the City of Auburn, Firefighter Jeffrey Salvage was honored by the Auburn Fire Department on June 12th as he finished his last overnight shift and retired.


Salvage joined the department on March 31, 2004, according to officials, and served in every fire company before dedicating most of his career to A Platoon Engine Company 3. He led the department's fitness program for the 2014 recruit class, worked as a certified peer fitness trainer, and responded to emergency situations. Department officials wished Salvage a long, healthy, and fulfilling retirement and commended him for his years of devoted service, mentoring, and dedication to firefighter wellness.
