NEWBURGH, NY - Cronomer Valley FD was draped in the bunting for a Past Chief that was killed in an auto accident in June in the State of Florida. Members, family, friends and county officials filled the social hall to view the memorial of Juan Moreno III.

The service, held at the fire department that Juan loved most, started as Rev. Jeff Hooker made the sign of the cross and talked about Juan as someone who was always there for everyone. He moved to Florida to be closer to his parents, and every Sunday he would drive 400 miles to visit his mom. His mom said that when he was young, Juan used to give other kids his shirts, telling his mom they needed them more than he did.

Rev. Hooker ended the service with the Lord's Prayer. The fire department held their Firematic Service and everyone lined up outside the social hall. Order of attention hand salute was given and Chief Robert Doreman carried a folded American Flag, and President Jeff Miller carried the urn of the Past Chief's remains which were placed in the Engine that gave Juan one last ride. Rest in Peace Juan, we have it from here.
