Chenango Bridge, N.Y. — June 15 — Following Chief Casterlin's death, Chenango-Bridge Fire Company, located at 17 Kattelville Road, sent their sympathies to the Casterlin family and Chenango Forks Fire Company members. His years of devoted service, leadership, and dedication to the fire service were recognized by fire departments throughout Broome County. Chief Casterlin promoted emergency response, firefighter training, and mutual aid initiatives that improved departmental collaboration throughout his career.

The regional emergency services community, where long-standing relationships frequently go beyond emergency situations, was affected by his passing.
