Vineland, N.J. — June 15 — East Greenwich Township Fire & Rescue monitored the situation following a report of an industrial fire at the Monroe Energy refinery in Trainer, Pennsylvania, which is across the Delaware River from Logan Township. The area was filled with a huge cloud of smoke from the fire. Gloucester County benefited from wind conditions, according to officials, as rescuers watched for any changes.

The department collaborated with regional emergency management and hazardous materials officials while the Logan Township Fire Department, Paulsboro Refinery Fire Department, and other public safety organizations helped at the scene. Teams from East Greenwich were prepared to provide mutual aid upon request, all the while keeping an eye on the situation and assisting with regional emergency operations.
