Deptford, N.J. — June 10 — Following his graduation from the Camden County Fire Academy's Fire Fighter I and II curriculum, Thomas Tischner joined the Deptford Fire Department. Following classroom teaching and practical training in fire suppression, search and rescue, ladder operations, ventilation, water supply, hazardous materials awareness, and firefighter safety, the certification was obtained. The program trains candidates to fulfill New Jersey's requirements for emergency response and structural firefighting.

With Tischner's graduation, the department's operational roster grew by one more certified fireman. His accomplishment supported ongoing fire safety and mutual aid services for Deptford Township and neighboring Gloucester County municipalities while also strengthening the department's response capacity.
