ALMOND, N.Y. — June 2 — Almond Fire & Rescue personnel finished a pump training course aimed at improving water supply operations and equipment preparedness. To stay proficient with department engines, firefighters went over equipment checks, water flow control, and pump operating skills. In situations where reliable water delivery is essential, such as during structure fires, rural water supply operations, and mutual aid responses, the practical exercise strengthened important abilities.

In order to increase efficiency and coordination, crews also rehearsed standard operating procedures while cooperating. Frequent training guarantees that equipment operates as intended, helps firefighters maintain operational preparedness, and equips personnel to deliver efficient emergency services to the Almond community and other mutual assistance departments.
