Brooklawn Engine Responded to Westville Apartment Fire

BROOKLAWN, N.J. — May 29 — Engine 3443 of Brooklawn Fire Company responded to a reported apartment fire in Westville as part of a mutual assistance assignment. After arriving at the area, the crew helped other fire departments with fireground operations and scene safety. In order to manage structural fires and maintain sufficient emergency resources, mutual assistance responses offer extra personnel and equipment.


Engine 3443 was released from the scene and put back into service after fulfilling its assigned duties. The reaction demonstrated the importance of regional cooperation in providing prompt and efficient emergency services to communities throughout the surrounding area and demonstrated the ongoing coordination between local fire departments.
