At 1:29 pm on June 27th Wood-Ridge units was dispatched to 16 Veterans Drive for a reported car Fire. Moments later, dispatch upgraded the call to a Structure Fire. Companies arrived to a fully involved suv with fire extending up the side of the building. A second alarm was struck bringing mutual aid units to the scene. Companies were able to extinguish a rapidly extending fire in under an hour. Mutual aid from Carlstadt, Hasbrouck Heights, Lodi, Moonachie and Wallington assisted on scene with companies from Little Ferry, Rutherford and South Hackensack covered.

2 dogs were safely removed from the building. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Bureau of Fire Prevention.
