Building Safer Responders: Emergency Vehicle Operations Training Completed

Foster, RI - Members of the Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company recently completed a Rhode Island Fire Academy–accredited course focused on the safe operation of emergency vehicles and personal vehicles while responding to incidents.

This state-required certification ensures volunteers are properly trained in emergency vehicle operation, lawful use of warning lights, and safe response practices that protect both responders and the public.

The training reinforces a simple but critical message: safe driving saves lives. When drivers encounter emergency vehicles responding to calls, yielding the right of way can make a meaningful difference when every second counts.
