Milton, NH — May 25 — Milton Fire-Rescue observed Memorial Day and paid tribute to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who lost their lives while serving their country, joining veterans, citizens, and towns across. The yearly celebration honored the sacrifices made by fallen service members and commemorated their lives with their families and communities in addition to their military service.

Memorial Day, a national day of remembrance, was first created as Decoration Day following the Civil War. The celebration reaffirmed how crucial it is to protect the legacy of those who gave their lives in defense of the country.
