Somersworth, N.H. — June 1 — In an acquired building, D-Shift members of Somersworth Professional Firefighters Local 2320 finished practical training evolutions. In a realistic environment, firefighters rehearsed inside operations, search tactics, hose line progression, ventilation, and fireground coordination. Before buildings are demolished, personnel can hone critical firefighting abilities through training in acquired buildings, which offers invaluable experience that cannot be entirely duplicated in a classroom.
