Firefighters Practiced VEIS and Hose Line Advancement

Somersworth, N.H. — May 26 — A training session on VEIS (Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search), hose line advancement, and roof ventilation was completed by B-Shift members of Somersworth Professional Firefighters Local 2320. In order to enhance search operations, fire attack, and ventilation procedures, firefighters performed synchronized methods utilized during structural fires.


The exercise focused on firefighter safety, cooperation, and communication while using actual scenarios. Frequent practical training helps crews stay proficient in critical fireground skills and equips them to handle a variety of emergency situations. The drill improved operational preparedness and reaffirmed the department's dedication to offering the Somersworth community safe, effective emergency response.
