Gilsum, N.H. — May 25 — In observance of Memorial Day, the Gilsum Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad paid tribute to the American military personnel who lost their lives while serving their country. Through local ceremonies and moments of commemoration, the department engaged communities around New Hampshire in honoring the sacrifice of slain service members.


Residents, first responders, and veterans came together to honor those who lost their lives while serving their country. The yearly celebration brought attention to the enduring relationship between emergency services and military duty. While commemorating their service and the liberties they helped defend, department members acknowledged the commitment and sacrifice of the deceased.
