Members of the Sheldon Fire Department continued to work on emergency response, training, and equipment upgrades to improve operational readiness on June 11.

Nine firefighters reportedly arrived to help the Franklin Fire Department put out a house fire, offering assistance to one another while the fire was being suppressed. Engine 1 successfully pushed more than 1,500 gallons of water per minute during testing, and members also took part in a pump operators seminar. A number of firefighters pursued further training at the North Country Fire School in Alburgh.

In order to enhance the storage and quick deployment of the department's Jaws of Life and Rescue Q Jacks, the department also rearranged Engine 1's rescue tool compartments by adding dividers and a carousel system.
