From July 12 to July 18, the Vergennes Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during a hectic week that also included training and professional development programs.

A missing hiker, a carbon monoxide alert, a car accident, two fire alarms, a Shelburne building fire, a water rescue, and a kitchen fire were all handled by members. Sprinkler operations and a Hartland VFD Technical Rescue Team skills refresher were part of the training. Additionally, members went to the annual meeting of the Vermont State Firefighters Association in St. Albans.
