Members of the Hardwick Fire Department supported law enforcement during the march honoring Morristown Police Department officer Ronald Audet on May 27.

As the procession celebrated Sgt. Audet's decades of service to the local community and the country, officials said firemen were honored to support their public safety colleagues. Sgt. Audet's commitment to public service was recalled by numerous firemen who had served with or collaborated with him during his career, according to department colleagues.

During this trying time, department heads offered their condolences to Sgt. Audet's friends, family, and fellow police. Additionally, they expressed gratitude to American Legion Post 7 for supplying the American flag that was flown during the parade.
