Hancock Fire Department Mourns the Loss of Firefighter Frank Anderson Jr.

Members of the Hancock Volunteer Fire Department notified on June 21st that firefighter Frank Anderson Jr. had passed away after a brief illness.


Anderson served with Team Yellow for six years, according to officials, and was renowned for his commitment, upbeat demeanor, and readiness to assist others. His fellow firefighters recalled him as someone who loved using the department's equipment, was constantly willing to learn new things, and had a sense of humor that made everyone around him feel better.


Anderson's dedication to the fire service and his connections within the department, according to department superiors, had a profound effect on everyone who worked with him. During this trying time, they sent their condolences to his wife, son, family, and friends.
