Call Firefighter Logan Benko received recognition from the Atkinson Fire Department on June 18th for graduating from the York County Fire Academy in Maine and obtaining his Firefighter I and Firefighter II certifications.

Benko completed both his fire service qualifications and graduation in the same year, which is an amazing accomplishment, according to officials, who also noted that he had achieved another significant milestone just two weeks prior when he graduated from high school. Department heads observed that it took extraordinary effort, hard work, and commitment to balance academic obligations with the demands of firefighter training.
