Chelsea Fire Department Honors Assistant Chief Wayne Woodbury

Members of the Chelsea Maine Fire Department honored Searsmont Assistant Fire Chief Wayne Woodbury on June 16th by participating in End of Watch responsibilities and helping to transfer him to Belfast.


Firefighters supported memorial activities and stood with members of the Searsmont Fire Department, Chief Woodbury's family, friends, and the larger fire service community for the past 24 hours, according to officials. Additionally, the agency honored individuals who are still dealing with the aftermath of Chief Woodbury's death on May 15.


In addition to offering their sympathies to everyone impacted, department heads reiterated their dedication to helping their fellow firefighters through trying times.
