Members of the Cambridge Fire Department devoted an evening on June 18th to firefighter readiness training, equipment inspections, and apparatus maintenance.

According to officials, staff members spent time inspecting equipment, cleaning fire apparatus, and making sure all resources were ready for emergency reactions. Inspections and routine maintenance help guarantee that machinery and equipment are always prepared for use.

Firefighters practiced putting on and taking off their self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and protective gear in addition to doing equipment checks. These abilities enable firefighters to promptly prepare for crises while upholding appropriate safety protocols, which is crucial for safe and effective fireground operations.
