Training Event Highlighted Future of Fire Service

Bethlehem, Conn. — May 30 — Cadets from several departments came together for a day of training and collaboration at the junior firefighter competition held by the Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Department. Participants underwent a range of tasks that assessed their leadership, perseverance, problem-solving, and firefighting skills. Turnout gear drills, obstacle courses, firefighter rescue scenarios, and hose line competitions were among the events.


Cadets supported one another throughout the day, making friends and acquiring useful experience in a supportive yet competitive setting. All teams participated enthusiastically, and the event was successfully finished despite the adverse weather. The tournament demonstrated the dedication of young firefighters and the upcoming generation of firefighters.
