Salem, N.H. — May 23 — Following his line-of-duty death, Boston Fire Department Firefighter Robert T. Kilduff of Rescue Company 2 was honored by the Salem Fire Department along with other fire departments in the area. Kilduff was acknowledged for his dedication to emergency response and public safety while he was a member of one of Boston's specialist rescue groups.

Firefighters and departments across New England showered him with support after learning of his loss.The risks that emergency responders confront while defending their communities are brought to light by line-of-duty fatalities. The Boston Fire Department, Kilduff's family, and other firemen received condolences from the Salem Fire Department.
