Salem Lieutenant Retired After 24 Years of Service

Salem, N.H. — May 22 — After more than 24 years of service, Lieutenant/Paramedic Chris J. Hamilton retired from the Salem Fire Department. Hamilton became a firefighter/paramedic in 1999 after joining the department in 1998. He served with the Manchester Fire Department for a while before coming back to Salem to continue helping the locals. In 2010, he received a promotion to Lieutenant/Paramedic.


Prior to entering the fire department, Hamilton was a Flight Medic in the US Army for eight years, rising to the rank of Specialist. Members of the department acknowledged his contributions to public safety, leadership, and emergency services. His long career of serving the Salem community came to an end with his retirement.
