Sandown, N.H. — June 7 — During a training session lead by Firefighter Menard, two EMTs from Sandown Fire Rescue proceeded to pursue their firefighter certifications. In order to bolster their fundamental firefighting abilities and get them ready for upcoming certification requirements, EMT Caillouette and EMT Leonard took part in practical exercises. The practical methods frequently employed in emergency response and fireground operations were the main emphasis of the seminar.

Opportunities for cross-training enable EMS staff to increase their knowledge and acquire abilities that promote department readiness. Members are also kept ready for a range of situations through regular training. As both EMTs continued their professional growth and firefighter training, the June 7 workshop represented an additional step in the certification process.
