Sandown Fire Chief Earned Fire Officer I Certification

Sandown, N.H. — May 26 — Sandown Fire Rescue's fire chief, Mike Devine, fulfilled the prerequisites for the nationally renowned NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I accreditation. After successfully completing the training and competency requirements needed for certification, Devine was informed of the accomplishment. Leadership, incident management, personnel supervision, safety, and administrative duties are the main topics of the Fire Officer I curriculum.


The accreditation showed a dedication to lifelong learning within the fire service and represented a significant advancement in professional development. Members of the department acknowledged the achievement as a noteworthy turning point that enhanced leadership skills and encouraged continued contribution to the Sandown neighborhood.
