Geisinger Health System bids farewell to their last BK-117 aircraft

The Geisinger Health System Life Flight Program. Bids farewell to its last BK-117 in their fleet. The 1995 BK-117 C-1 model was one of three last working BK-117's in the state of Pennsylvania.The aircraft will be used for scrap to keep other BK-117 models. Like this flying with what parts are still in good condition and don't have to many hours on them. The Life Flight Program is in the process of getting a new aircraft. The new aircraft will be delivered in the summer of 2026. The flight program now has 8 aircraft and once the new aircraft is delievered. They will be back with a fleet of 9 working helicopters.
