Ewing, N.J. — May 25 — West Trenton Volunteer Fire Company observed Memorial Day with communities around the country, paying tribute to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who died while serving their country. The yearly celebration acts as a reminder of the sacrifices made by military people to protect the country. Communities around the nation celebrated the holiday with parades, celebrations, and memorial services honoring those who did not make it back home.


The department's members understood the significance of keeping Memorial Day's purpose intact and honoring those who lost their lives while serving their country. The relationship between military service and the emergency services industry was also emphasized by the celebration.
