Along with firefighters from the Brielle and Manasquan fire departments, members of the Ocean Fire Company and Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company No. 2 took part in a jetty rescue training exercise on June 11.
Crews collaborated to practice finding casualties and extracting them from the difficult terrain of jetty rocks, according to officials. Firefighters used a variety of rescue methods and equipment setups intended for situations including rough shorelines and waterfront locations.
