A canal familiarization exercise was carried out by Clark Fire Department Special Operations Division personnel on June 14th in the vicinity of Clark and Winfield.

Firefighters reviewed access sites, navigation routes, and conditions along the river that runs close to the Garden State Parkway and the Clark-Winfield boundary, according to officials. Members gained a deeper comprehension of the region through the training, which also assisted in preparing teams for future emergency response and water rescue situations.
