Sussex, N.J. — May 25 — In observance of Memorial Day, Sussex Fire & EMS joined communities across in paying tribute to the men and women of the armed forces who lost their lives while serving their country. The yearly celebration served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by soldiers over the course of the nation's history. Memorial Day, according to department officials, is devoted to honoring those who lost their lives defending the country and the liberties we enjoy today.

Sussex Fire & EMS, located at 25 Loomis Ave., also honored the friends, family, and other service members who continue to pay tribute to the lost. Over the holiday weekend, locals were urged to ponder the significance of Memorial Day and honor those who served.
