Springfield Firefighters Completed Swift Water Rescue Training

Springfield, N.J. — May 30 — After completing Swift Water Rescue training, six members of Springfield FMBA Local 57 gained expertise in water-related emergency procedures. The training emphasized safety, collaboration, and sound decision-making while concentrating on rescue operations in moving water. In order to hone the skills required during floods and other water rescue situations, participants worked through realistic scenarios.
According to department officials, continuous training helps firemen stay proficient in specific rescue techniques and equips personnel to handle a variety of emergencies. Regular training is an essential component of operational readiness since swift water accidents can pose special obstacles. Additionally, the agency expressed gratitude to Rescue Products International, Inc. for offering the training.
