Westfield, N.J. — May 25 — In observance of Memorial Day, the Town of Westfield Fire Department honored the American military personnel who lost their lives while serving their country. The agency acknowledged the holiday as a time for introspection and recollection, honoring those who gave their lives in defense of the nation. The families, friends, and loved ones who carried on the legacy of dead service members were also acknowledged by officials.
The government urged locals to consider the actual significance of Memorial Day and honor those whose sacrifice and service contributed to the defense of the country's liberties as they gathered over the holiday weekend.
