Alpine, NJ - Members of the Alpine Fire Department conducted a training exercise focused on roof ventilation operations, an essential firefighting tactic used to improve conditions inside burning structures by releasing heat, smoke, and gases.

The drill marked the department’s second training session of the month and provided firefighters with hands-on experience in techniques used during structure fire incidents. Crews practiced coordinated ventilation operations designed to enhance firefighter safety and support interior fire suppression efforts.

Department officials said ongoing training helps ensure members remain prepared to protect the community when called upon. As a volunteer organization, Alpine firefighters dedicate their time to continually developing and maintaining critical emergency response skills.
